Fourth Grade

Fourth Grade

Fourth grade is a transitional year. The students are energetic and eager to learn and please. At this point in their education, they move from the lower elementary to the upper elementary. They begin to think and act more independently, but still need the guidance of parents and teachers. The character traits and work habits they form this year continue to develop well into the middle school years. For this reason, my goal for fourth grade is to provide the students in my class with a learning experience and environment that is centered on Christ and His Word.

Some of the fun activities that a fourth grader can look forward to are Grandparent’s Day, Field Day, Race for Education, field trips, weekly chapel, review games such as Zonk, Eggspert, and Jeopardy, creating a writing portfolio, making a United States scrapbook and Pennsylvania booklet, compiling an insect and leaf collection, performing in a spring musical program, participating in Pizza Hut’s Book It contest, and much more.

Field trips include: Insectarium in Philadelphia and the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown.
